ST. JOHNSBURY- Local businesses will be giving back to the community through donations and items during the 29th annual Catamount Arts benefit auction.
ST. JOHNSBURY- The North Congregational Church had most of its seats filled on Veteran's Day night for performances by the St. Johnsbury Band and other musical groups. It was the first time that the community town band played for an audience on this particular holiday.
ST.JOHNSBURY - It's been over a month since The Vermont Health Connect Exchange website released, but some residents are still having difficulty navigating the website. A community outreach held on Sunday at Northern Counties Health Care, or N.C.H.C., helped answer the questions asked by those who are having a hard time.

ST. JOHNSBURY- For the second time in just five days, there has been another water break in the town of St. Johnsbury. The burst took place by the corner of Main St. and Winter St. around 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
ST.JOHNSBURY-The town of St. Johnsbury has faced a lot of road construction in the past few months. Many residents woke up yesterday morning to a boil water order, and yet another main road through town blocked off by construction equipment. The roads are filled with smashed up gravel making it hard for travelers to get around.
ST.JOHNSBURY- This Veteran's day the St. Johnsbury community band will be heard playing to the tune of remembrance as they take the stage for a benefit concert for the St. Johnsbury Heritage Museum and to honor the veterans.
One St. Johnsbury Academy Senior is going the distance to help out people in need. Kayla Davis decided for her senior project that she would collect hair donations for the Locks Of Love organization. The results were astounding, as she collected three hundred ponytails for the cause.
ST. JOHNSBURY - The weather is turning colder again, and that means digging out the hats, gloves and winter coats. Many people in our area don’t have the gear they need to stay warm this winter season. One recent event did what it could to provide cold weather-clothing to community members in need this past weekend.
ST.JOHNSBURY- There is a new face roaming the halls and football field at St. Johnsbury Academy as new Head Coach and Assistant Athletic Director Rich Alercio has found himself a new home. As a player and coach at both the high school and collegiate level, Alercio has made football a major part of his everyday life.
ST. JOHNSBURY - The Northeast Kingdom has something to offer that you can't find anywhere else; a unique place that gives dog-lovers a place to come together and let man's best friend roam around, leash-free. Dog Mountain is a 150 acre land that started as a mere a dream while under a coma.
St.Johnsbury-The Vermont Health connection had some diffcutly getting off the ground. According to health navigator, Gina O'Mera, "it started out a little difficult...there was a whole bunch of people trying to enrol at one time...we anticipated some problems, but everyday it gets better."
ST. JOHNSBURY- While most people do not pay attention to, or simply discard most subscription offers that come through their mailboxes, the offer that the Calex ambulance organization sends out is one that people might want to pay more attention to.
ST. JOHNSBURY- Changes are coming to the ambulance organization Calex as the Calex board of directors met Monday night at NVRH in St. Johnsbury to discuss some new changes to its by-laws, and members of their board.
ST. JOHNSBURY – October 16th is National Feral Day and the St. Johnsbury Kingdom Animal Shelter spent the day educating the public on feral cats. A Feral cat may look like an average cat but due to lack of human contact they have reverted to a wild state and have a serious fear of humans.
ST. JOHNSBURY - The Mobile Medical International Corporation, or MMIC, has placed fourth in a list of the top 50 innovative companies for this year. This is a global company based out of St. Johnsbury and makes mobile medical units to help those in need.
ST. JOHNSBURY- The St. Johnsbury Selectboard held an important meeting Monday night in which they discuss snowmobiles and the town's money. The board discussed a possible snowmobile lease which would allow snowmobiles access to the rail trail in St. Johnsbury.
ST. JOHNSBURY - Allen and Patricia Prue are still awaiting their trial in the murder case of Melissa Jenkins. The couple returned to court last week answering to additional charges of murder conspiracy and kidnapping. To add to that, Patricia Prue is also facing eight more charges for child pornography, after police found images of underage females on her computer.
NORTHEAST KINGDOM - The recent federal government shutdown has also closed many momuments and memorials in and around Washington D.C. Many veterans across the nation, including some in the Northeast Kingdom are very upset. On Tuesday, a group of World War II Veterans from Iowa arrived in the nation's capitol, to not be let into the monument they traveled to see.
ST. JOHNSBURY- The Saint Johnsbury Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium is receiving a $150,000 grant of it's quarter-million dollar exhibit from the federal government for a new exhibit. However, they currently can't obtain that money with Washington in turmoil.
ST. JOHNSBURY- A status conference was held Monday afternoon at the Caledonia Superior Court in which Judge Robert Bent acknowledged the state's new charges against Allen and Patricia Prue in the Melissa Jenkins murder case.
ST. JOHNSBURY - Two-time Grammy award winning jazz artist Cassandra Wilson performed at a sold out Fuller Hall in St. Johnsbury Sunday night.
ST. JOHNSBURY- On Saturday, spectators of all ages gathered in St. Johnsbury for the annual Colors of the Kingdom fall foliage festival.
ST. JOHNSBURY - The Northeast Kingdom Youth Services, or NEKYS, held their 10th annual Shelter Walk this past weekend, and for the first time ever it was part of St. Johnsbury's Fall Foliage Parade. NEKYS has been serving the youth for 36 years now and have served more than 4,107 people in both Caledonia and Essex counties.
ST. JOHNSBURY - Warm weather has many people thinking about their favorite time of year... trout season. One groug is helping to make fishermen everywere smile. The Vermonts Trophy Trout Program stocks some of the largest trout in the nation. The Passumpsic River is now the home to five hundred new fish.
