ST. JOHNSBURY - Yesterday the Catholic Church received the news that for the first time in 600 years, Pope Benedict the XVI has stepped down from his position.
The last Pope to resign was Pope Gregory the XII in 1415.

ST. JOHNSBURY - The Hostess Bakery Outlet in Saint Johnsbury that has been in operation for over 35 years, closed its doors over the weekend.
After the announcement of Hostess going bankrupt and putting 18,000 employees out of work, the outlet had to sell everything in the store which meant cheap prices for customers. "Twinkies were 3 dollars a box" says shopper Dan Cleary,"the receipts right here, yep 214 dollars worth."

JOHNSBURY - St. Johnsbury Academy and the Jeju Free International City Development Center signed an agreement yesterday that will open a new school in Korea, based off of the historic St. Johnsbury Academy. The school, named St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju, will be located on Jeju Island off the coast of South Korea.
