Ingrid is a five year old German shepherd at Riverside Rescue in Lunenburg, Vermont. She came to the shelter on December 24 last year and is now looking for a new home.

Riverside Rescue founder and shelter manager Sharon Eaton said Ingrid's previous owner had to surrender her. She has since been spayed and had updated vaccinations.

Ingrid can go to a home with another dog, but is known to chase rodents and cats. Eaton says she'd be a good fit in a "low impact home" due to her arthritis, possibly with older children. "She's very intuitive," likes to play with toys and other dogs, and wants to be where you are, Eaton says.
