Travel Guidelines Modified for the Vaccinated

VERMONT - For months since the pandemic began, folks have had to  quarantine when traveling to Vermont from out of state. As of today, Governor Phil Scott made a small change to the travel restrictions he put in place months ago.

Those who have been fully vaccinated can now travel without having to quarantine. This positive change goes into effect this coming Tuesday. If folks want to travel in and out of the state, they can, but will need to show proof that they got the vaccine. They will also still need to follow all other health and safety policies such as mask wearing and social distancing

For Scott and administration, this is great news and a step in the right direction. Scott also says that this is a light at the end of the tunnel that keeps getting bigger and brighter.

"I know this raises a lot of questions and we'll address them methodically. Please understand we're going to take this one step at a time and continue to be guided by the science, the data, and the advice of our experts," said Governor Scott.

Scott and and administration hope to also announce new changes to household gatherings later next week.
