SAINT JOHNSBURY- On Wednesday night, Lyndon Institute's girls volleyball team won a close match against Saint Johnsbury Academy.
LI held a strong lead, winning the first two sets. However, SJA came back, winning the next two sets, putting the game into its fifth round.
Both teams were neck and neck until LI snuck ahead and finished the five game set 15 to 12.
"I think the girls played really well and dug deep, and showed what they had as a team," Kasey Potter, the LI coach said.
According to SJA's coach, Gwyn Stahl, this is the first time the team had gone to their fifth set.
Potter said after the match that LI is currently 4-4 wins to lossess this season.
