Lyndon Town Meeting Wrap-up

LYNDON - The Town of Lyndon finalized their votes Tuesday during their meeting.

 

Lyndon town members voted on Tuesday on whether to keep on-floor voting or move to Australian ballots. The overall vote was to do on-floor voting. All voting for the meeting was done during the meeting rather than a separate time.

 

Their biggest focus of the meeting was budgets to repair the town for the flooding. These budgets were passed. The town has the budget to complete all remaining damages from the floods. This includes roads, bridges, foot-paths and buildings. The town is going to not only repair but alos imporve the look of the town.

The budget for the fire department was also passed. This means that the fire department will have the money to buy needed gear. They are investing in gear, called swift water gear, which will help keep them safe and efficient in the instance of another flood.
