Lyndon Annual Town Meeting

The Town of Lyndon held their annual town meeting this morning with two major focuses.

This morning at 9 o'clock, Lyndon town members gathered for their annual town meeting. They had two major focuses for this meeting, the town improvement budget and voting.

The improvement budget consisted of plans to fix and improve roads, offices, public buildings, the Sanborn Bridge and flood damage. The town and board was focused on flood damage repairs. The town plans to repair roads, properties, and any other major damages that still remain form the flooding. Additionally, the Fire Department has requested more equipment, including "swift water gear" which will ensure that they can safely help people in the instance of another flood.

This budget was voted on during the meeting and was passed.

Town members and the board discussed whether or not they wanted to continue with on-floor voting. Majority of attendees felt that on-floor voting worked better for the town and allows for voting topics to be thoroughly talked about.

Town members voted against moving to Australian ballots today.
