Cruz On The Rise

Cruz in NHLACONIA, N.H. - Republican Candidate for President Ted Cruz headed to the Beane Conference Center in Laconia New Hampshire Thursday night. He spoke about views to around 150 people. Polls show the Granite State has Cruz in third place behind Marco Rubio and frontrunner, Donald Trump. This makes a steep climb for anyone to try and come out with the win. But it is a climb that Cruz believes he can make, even though he thinks that the media does not support him.

"We saw a incredible victory of couragous conservatives across this country and on Monday night. The people of Iowa sent notice to the United States that the media is not going to pick the Republican nominee, or the next President of the of the United States," says Cruz.

The issues Cruz has focused on are repealing Obamacare, national security, religious freedom, and protecting second amendment rights of the people.

"One of the things I love about the Live Free Or Die State is that y'all define gun control the same way we do in Texas, hitting what you aim at," says Cruz.

Cruz stated his plans limit the power of the government by removing five different agencies. The list includes: The IRS, the Department of Education, The Department of Energy, the Department of Commerce, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Cruz secured eight delegates and won Iowa. It was a close call of the Texas Junior Senator as he was only above GOP front runner Donald Trump by three percent.

The NH primary for both the Democratic and Republican parties will be held on Feb. 9th.
