The decision to replace the school was a costly one, totalling $105,000, but passed with a 96% approval rating. Only three votes were cast in rejection.

Monroe residents were also adamant in replacing the twenty year old town highway loader, passing the vote unanimously. Selectman Dan Powers said "We are having some issues with our old one, and to repair it, it's going to cost $40,000, and it's only worth $30 [thousand] to sell." Monroe residents felt it worthy to purchase a new loader altogether.

Voters also had to decide whether or not to appropriate $35,000 for the Water Department Emergencies Fund. Town officials alerted residents that prior to Town Meeting Day, there was not enough money in the fund to cover a water main break if one was to occur in the town. That was enough to convince voters and gain there approval.

By the end of the night, it was smooth sailing in Monroe. All fifteen articles on the school district warrant passed, along with the nineteen articles on the town warrant.
