Protesters in St. Johnsbury Demand Justice for Accused Sexual Predator

ST. JOHNSBURY - A small protest was held in St. Johnsbury today demanding the conviction of accused sexual predator Jeremy Bogie.

Last year in August, Bogie was charged with repeated sexual assault of a minor occurring from 2004 through 2007. He has been out on cash bond since that time. Today, the community waits for a trial which has not yet been given a specific court date.

Family members of the victim were out in St. Johnsbury today making their message clear.

“It's to raise the cause for her. And the person hasn't gone to trial yet. His name is Jeremy Bogie. And we’re doing this every month until he goes to trial, and to raise awareness for child abuse and child molestation,” said Angela, the mother of the victim.

A factor of today’s protest was a plea to others in the community to come forward.

“Please speak up. Don't be ashamed. There's always people who stand behind you. We're trying to fight harder to get justice for people that have had these issues,” another family member stated.

While the trial date is yet to be determined, members of the community continue to show their support for the victim and demand justice.
