St. Johnsbury- As the snow is melting, the town is working diligently to repair the roads.
Local online forums have been filling up with road complaints since the snow and ice have began melting. Countless potholes and deep ridges in roads have been uncovered recently. Many locals have stated that they are worried the potholes will damage their vehicles, and some have experienced the damages.
St. Johnsbury officials are working diligently to keep the state of the roads safe. But, this comes with some difficulty when the public is not notifying the town of major issues and/or damages.
Town manager, Chad Whitehead explains, "I encourage people to submit any claims that they have because there could be extenuating circumstances, and our insurance company tries to be fair."
If damages to a vehicle happens due to a pothole, the town encourages it to be reported and have a claim filed with town. St. Johnsbury will submit the claim to their insurance company for a review. If the town is proven to be neglegent towards the road, damages will be covered by the town.
St. Johnsbury is working to fill in all potholes as spring weather continues.
