Vote for St. Johnsbury Cemetery Commission

On November 8th, the town of St. Johnsbury will be asked to vote on creating a cemetery commission.
The commission would take control of managing the cemeteries from select board members. Their responsibilities will include everything from selling plots to maintaining the land.
The properties in question include Grove Cemetery, Ayer-Hawkins Cemetery, St. Johnsbury Center Cemetery and Old Church Yard Cemetery.
If this cemetery commission is approved in November, during town meeting in March is when the three members will be elected to the cemetery commission. In order to be considered for the position you must be a resident of St. Johnsbury and you must petition for ballot placement.
