Completion of Miller's Run Bridge Revitalization

The long-awaited revitalization of Lyndon's Miller's Run Bridge reached its final stage last Wednesday when two panels at the bridge's entrances were put in.

One of the biggest issues Lyndon has faced over the last few years was the Miller’s Run Bridge facing vehicular damage which is usually a result of large trucks getting routed through the bridge that don’t fit causing severe damage. After many attempts the solution of creating a set of steel I-beams with a 19’ topper on either side of the bridge would do a good job fixing the problem while also making the bridge look better as a result. With the help of two Lyndon Institute welding classes the toppers were put together and a construction crew had the beams up by late March.

Many within the Lyndon community hope this will be the last time the town will have to deal with threats to the bridge.
