Lyndon Area Chamber of Commerce Dissolving

The Lyndon Area Chamber of Commerce is dissolving in April of 2025.

All existing members of the Lyndon Area Chamber of Commerce will automatically become members of the Northeast Kingdom Chamber of Commerce until December 31st, 2025. All events and funding will be done by the NEKCC after the dissolve.

The LACC has experienced a drastic decline in volunteers over the past few years. This is due to a lack of interest in volunteering and little to no free time.

"It's coming up against the same issues that many long term organizations have, with new leadership within the organization, just the changing structure of local organizations," explains the secretary, Cheryl Mcmahon, "We have a lot of business people who are just single business owners and can't participate and to be a functioning chamber we need an executive board and a board of directors."

The LACC believes that this will be a positive change and should benefit locals and businesses.

There will be no major changes to events such as the Stars and Stripes Festival, which is already planned to continue happening.
