Bear Den Officially Owns Burke

Burke Mountain Resort has now welcomed Bear Den Partners as part of their own.

A press conference was held yesterday in the Witherell Room around 11, where community members could join in-person or via zoom. All owners were in attendance, along with one attending through zoom overseas. In their opening statement, Bear Den looked strongly on the impact and resources the mountain has on its communities, stores, and school’s. “You have Kingdom Trails which is a world class trail network and brings people to the area, you have now a really viable small ski resort, and then of course Burke Mountain Academy, so you put all those things together and there’s a unique opportunity to have a really special thriving economy in the Northeast Kingdom which is struggling to find this”, (Willy Booker). Given the rocky history of the mountain's previous owners, they see this as both a great way to bring in more revenue and connect guests from surrounding cities like Boston and parts of Canada. With this company being from Vermont, they bring a lot of current knowledge and growth to this beautiful resort.
