The East Burke Market speaks on their views with the upcoming buys of Burke Mountain Resort.

With the good’s made at the store, they think having new owners will help bring in revenue to create more job opportunities. The store’s co-owner Burton Hinton appears to be optimistic or hopeful with this change. “And hopefully the excitement will bring more folks to town, I think everyone, I don’t wanna speak for everyone but I feel like the general consensus is that there’s, there’s room for growth up there”, (Burton Hinton). While he says that overtime customers have expressed concerns with its history, they think both the town and people will benefit in having visitors. With all the current changes going on both in the state and the whole country, they want to look at this as a positive way to bring people in.
