The beloved Fairlee Drive in is saying goodbye for this summer season, possibly further.

After many seasons and many dollars spent on updating the technology, we won’t be seeing car’s lining up to enjoy the latest entertainment. Chris Brimmer, the zoning official in Fairlee expresses why this theater will be shut down. “My understanding is there’s been a health crisis by the family member who primarily ran the drive in, I believe that this may be a one off summer where they don’t have the season, there’s probably a lot of waiting and seeing how the health issue clears up”, (Chris Brimmer). This surprise may be shocking to residents, however, it’s more likely that this won’t be permanent. Given the new upkeep, Brimmer expects either new owners or original’s to get it going next year.
