The calendar might say February 23, but it felt like spring today! Temperatures rose into the 50's and lower 60's, with plenty of sunshine. In fact, St Johnsbury made it to 61 degrees, which broke the record high of 58 degrees set all the way back in 1984! While most of the afternoon was sunny clouds will be on the increase this evening. Therefore, a light shower can't be ruled out as a weak upper level disturbance passes through. Showers will again move through the region during the day on Friday as a warm front moves through our area. The highlight feature of the next few days is Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. A strong cold front will progress towards us, bringing with it up to an inch of rain and possibly some snow showers as the colder air filters in behind the cold front. Any snow accumulation looks minimal from this event, possibly enough to coat the ground. High temperatures Sunday will be more seasonable rising into the lower 30's, which is around average for this time of year.
