LYNDONVILLE -The Lyndon Institute boys basketball team battled against the Randolph Galloping Ghosts last Wednesday. L.I. fought the Galloping Ghosts from start to finish.  The Vikings came into the game on a scorching seven game winning streak and were looking to push that number to eight by the nights end.

After the first quarter however, it looked like the quest for number eight could be in trouble.

The Vikings pulled it together in the second half led by senior forward, Jay Cobb. Coming into the game, Cobb had had seven straight double-doubles in Lyndon's seven straight wins, which has been a foundation for Lyndon's run as of late.

L.I. went on to play a closely contested fourth quarter, hitting multiple clutch free throws down the stretch to seal the game, winning forty eight to forty four.

The Vikings have had almost a week off from games, and will be traveling to Lamoille Union High school Tuesday for a seven o'clock tip-off, and will be trying for their ninth straight win.
