Wheelock Eyes Changes in Road Maintenance

WHEELOCK- One of the more heated topics on the agenda for the town of Wheelock was the direction in which they should go for the maintenance of roads in their town.

Article four, in the original town report, stated that the selectboard members would take the necessary steps to sub out work to an independant contractor for taking care of the roads, but that's where the voters stated their differences.

It was almost a unanimous vote to amend the article so that the select board members would have to conduct a feasibility study in order to assess the impact that contracting out the work would have on the town.

The polls officially opened up for Wheelock at ten o'clock a.m. They will close at seven o'clock p.m today. The articles that were voted on revolved around
