ST. JOHNSBURY - Motorists in the town of Saint Johnsbury can expect some delays in the downtown area, along with parking restrictions over the next couple of weeks.
The delays are due to the Railroad Street Enhancement project which is pouring in new sidewalks along the roads. This project will be delivering new sidewalks and street lights to Railroad Street in Saint Johnsbury.
Overall, the project costs about 770-thousand dollars funding includes 500-thousand dollars in grants and 200-thousand in local funding.
A restaurant owner nearby where this project is happening, Gerardo Grecco says he is liking the changes that are being made and believes that once the project is done, it'll be a nice change.
Grecco, Owner of Cantina Di Gerardo in Saint Johnsbury says, "Might be bugs your people a little bit because you can't come in and out very easily but otherwise I mean young people they've got no problem what so ever you know."
This project is supposed to be done around the end of the month, on November 25th, that's when residents can expect it to be completed.
