Lyndonville Water Bill Change

LyndonwaterLYNDON-  Local business owners came to the Lyndonville trustee meeting last night to voice their concerns about the increase they are seeing in their water bills. Many people are not happy about the increase.

The Lyndonville Trusties recently changed the way they billed costumers for water. They felt it was “unfair” for residential homes to pay the same rate as commercial businesses. Now all residential homes are set at a flat rate while the bigger users are billed based on actual usage.

Business owners are upset that while residential homes are saving money a lot of money, the commercial businesses are being charged more than ever. Municipal administrator, Daniel Hill said, “We’re not fool proof, we know we probably made mistakes along the way and we’re going to continue to work on making it better.”

The board will go over the concerns brought up at the meeting and encourage residents to join the discussion.
