Lyndon Institute Covid Outbreak

LYNDON – Lyndon Institute was classified as a COVID outbreak by Vermont's Department of Health, after 14 members of the community tested positive. The school first got word of a positive case shortly after the boys hockey game against St. Johnsbury on the 25th of February.

All athletic and school activities were put on pause through the 8th of March, and are now back in session. Competition is scheduled to return for athletics on the 12th of March.

On Monday the 8th, Lyndon Institute put out a statement saying that no positive cases had been reported over the weekend, and that in person learning would return on Wednesday. In their statement they said, "we look forward to having students back in school for in-person instruction and seeing our sports teams back in action."

Lyndon Institute returned groups one and two on Wednesday for in person learning with groups three and four returning on Thursday. Athletics will be able to play their final games of the regular season which ends on Saturday.
