Lyndon Outing Club Closing Day

LOC CLOSING DAYLYNDON- Although a whopping two feet of snow fell this past Friday March 22nd, the Lyndon Outing Club announced that Sunday March 24th will be their final day of operations for the season.

Bluebird skies and tons of fresh snow for all to enjoy were there to greet skiers and riders Sunday afternoon. Even though it was the last day of riding at the outing club for the '18-'19 season, smiles were to be had all around. Warm spring like temparatures were certainly a contrast to the two feet of snow that had fallen on the region within the past two days.

This season is one for the books according to Susan Teske, who oversees operations at the Outing Club. Teske says that, "this is one of the longest seasons that we've had in a long time." Despite all of the fresh snow, they are shutting operations down for the season. Teske says, "usually what determines that is when the dirt starts showing through the hill, this season has gone longer than usual so some of it is just because our volunteers have other obligations."

Come next season, the Outing Club will be looking for more volunteers to help run operations.
