Big Ticket Items Await H.O.P.E Gala

edleman footballLYNDONVILLE- H.O.P.E is preparing for their 5th annual "Warm Your Heart Gala" and silent auction.  This event is a major fundraiser to help provide for the backpack program which provides 80 children in local schools food every week to bring home.

Board President Bob McCabe says, "It's a dinner dance we have a comedian, we have a band. We have a variety of things of local vendors, we have somebody from Bag Balm that donated stuff, Sheer Sensations, and many of the local stores."

Some big ticket items up at the silent auction are sports memorabilia. on the list is a New England patriots football autographed by Super Bowl MVP and wide receiver Julian Edleman.

Along with a NFL football helmet signed by all the first draft pick players for the 2018 season. McCabe says there is much excitement over the sports memorabilia, "we've already had people express an interest in some of these sports things. we will make some money on this for sure."

This is the second year in a row that the event has sold out and McCabe is hopeful for a big turnout, saying they expect over 200 people to attend. "We expect to have a good time, there's a variety of different things going on in addition to the silent auction and it really is a community event. we don't have anyone outside the northeast kingdom coming to it."
tickets and bids for the auction are still available for anyone interested. the gala will take place on February 23rd at the Burke Mountain Hotel.
