BRADFORD- This past weekend marked the 9th annual 4x4 Vermonster, which took place on the Connecticut Valley Fairgrounds in Bradford.
Vermonster is an action-packed, off-roading, monster truck festival that takes place rain or shine. This year, the festival featured nothing but blue skies and temperatures in the 70s. There were all sorts of events that took place throughout the weekend. Of course, the biggest and most talked about event was seeing the monster truck rally on the fairgrounds.
As you might imagine, the trucks defiently take a beating throughtout the festival. "It's been rolled over, it's been through the mud, couldn't break it this weekend though, it kept running." Says Ron Hill, one of the competitors.
Even though the event has come and past, it takes months of preparation for the next Vermonster. Randy Oakley, the owner of the event, is already planning and looking forward to May 2015, which is when the next Vermonster is scheduled to take place.
