LOWER WATERFORD- The Rabbit Hill Inn was constructed in 1795 and was a regular destination for people hauling goods from Boston to Maine. Owners of the Inn for over twenty five years, Brian Mulcahy and his wife Leslie are uncertain of what the future has in store for the estate. Since its conception in 1795 the Rabbit Hill Inn has seen many different owners. In the early days it was a great rest stop for weary travellers heading from Boston to Maine. Since then it has grown to be the end destination rather than a stop along the way for many travelers.
"From about 1920 on forward it was a private home," said Mulcahy. "And then after it was a private home it became an Inn once again."
