St. Johnsbury Fire Department responded to a garage fire on Mount Pisgah Road, Wednesday Morning.
The fire department received the report of a garage fire around 6am on September 10th.
When St. Johnsbury Fire units arrived, the garage was fully engulfed in flames. Lyndon Fire Department, Danville Fire Department and Littleton Fire Department arrived on scene shortly after to aid in putting out the fire. Lyndon EMS also responded to the scene, no injuries were reported.
The fire was out within 2 hours of the initial response, but the garage suffered immense damage.
The garage was used by the residence owner as a business, “The individual used this garage to rebuild engines, so it was a machine shop.” explains St.Johnsbury Fire Chief Bradley Reed, “It was about 50 by 75, so it was a pretty good sized structure, detached from the house.”
At this time, the cause of the fire is still unknown. Officials will release more information as the investigation progresses.
