"We're decorating for the fall, it really lends to that festivity," said Tara Holt, Director of the St. Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce.

The event is scheduled to take place in Downtown St. Johnsbury.  They are expecting thousands of people to show up and that there is something to do for everyone.

"There are things going on from the train rides and everything going on downtown up the hill to events at Catamount Arts and then up the street for the History and Heritage Center."

Making another return to the event is the Festival of Traditional Crafts which will be at the St. Johnsbury History and Heritage Center.

"That event went away for a period of time, but now that the St. Johnsbury History and Heritage Center has opened back up, they're bringing back that really neat event," Holt said.

With so many people headed to St. Johnsbury for the festival, Holt says that the town is the perfect size for celebrating the fall season.  "The size of the town is really just right, you're not going to get completely bogged down in traffic, it's such a walkable community."

Holt also emphasized that this weekend is the best time to do the event.

"We have the best of both worlds right now as far as all the fall foliage cold coming in, but still this beautiful comfortable weather."

Holt has also said that this festival is a perfect reminder to people that St. Johnsbury is a great community to experience fall foliage.
