SHEFFIELD - The town of Sheffield released a number of notice's on Wednesday, March 18th, stating that due to the recent Coronavirus epidemic that the Sheffield select board has decided to shut down the town office until further notice.  The recycling building will also close. 

For any additional information you may leave a message for the Town Clerk via phone, or you may reach the Town clerk by email. The notice has additional information on where you can find trash bags, along with how to address any late penalties for dog registrations. The trash compactor, top dumpster, and the metal recycling dumpster will remain open at this time. Sheffield's home page also contains a statement in regards to the Kingdom East School District Emergency meals. Along with a notice released on Saturday, March 21st informing town residents that the town hall will remain closed for the time being. With the exception of the food pantry, that will remain open. The select board meeting that was set for April has been cancelled, and the select board plans to meet for May 6th.
