Warm Temperatures Impact Burke

BURKE - While many of us have been enjoying the unseasonable temperatures, local ski resorts aren't too happy about springs early arrival.

With plenty of sunshine early in the week and temperatures near sixty degrees on Monday, Burke Mountain in East Burke was dealing with slushy conditions and growing patches of grass.

The warm weather did help in the way of bringing people out to the slopes and even had some skiers saying, they enjoy the warm skiing weather. "It's been a great day so far" said Zac Mercauto, an avid Burke Mountain skiier, "Skiing has been fantastic, spring snow, best snow of the season so far".

Burke says they are concered about the warmer tempertures but they encourage people to continue coming out and enjoying the Vermont outdoors.
