EAST BURKE— Its been mentioned by the National Geographic as one of the top mountain bikes in America. The Trails, which consist over 100 miles, oversee beautiful Vermont sceneries which are used for hiking, biking, cross-country ski and snow shoes trails.
In 2008, Bike Magazine voted the Kingdom Trails as the best trail network in North America. The highly regarded biking destination features beginner trails as well as more technical trails for the experienced rider.
According to executive director, Tim Tierney, who believes that the accolades will continue to bring tourism, continues to thank the community and landowners for their continued success.
"W have a design of amazing trails, we maintain them very well, and we have a great community, a great vibe. But in the end of the day it's all about the trails."
With this recognition, the North East Kingdom is continuing growing as a tourist attraction and adding the economy growth to the communities living nearby.
To many from the local area to as far as across the country, this is a good vacation destination area that is not only affordable seems to give the full satisfaction of the thrill of outdoor adventure.
