LYNDON- Wednesday was an easy night for the Lyndon Vikings, who faced off against the Thetford Academy Panthers in Lyndonville.
By the half, the Vikings were up by more than 20 points and held strong through the rest of the game. Finishing with a 71-37 blowout, senior guard Nikola Veljic was able to contribute 21 points to the total, being the highest scorer for the Vikings.
Head Coach Phil Joyal says he was pleased when he was asked about how his team is doing and how far they've come.
"I think we're getting smarter with each game," he said. "I think we're learning to play more as a team and to play the game itself".
After the win, the Vikings travelled to evenly matched Harwood Union High School, who they beat earlier in the season. They fell to the Highlanders, 55-65, making their record 10-5-0, compared to Harwood's 10 wins, 6 losses, and no ties.
