Cloting ThumbnailSt. Johnsbury-A local thrift store KSC Thrifts of St. Johnsbury is giving back to the community by having a spring sale.

For the month of April every Tuesday, Thursday from one to four and Saturday from ten to two, shoppers can fill up an entire bag worth of clothing, shoes and merchandise for only a dollar.

During the regular shopping season clothes and shoes at this thrift store are priced anywhere between fifty cents to one dollar. They are having this spring sale in particular to clean out some of the inventory, and to make room for new items. They also do this to have a deal for locals in the commmunity to purchase quality items of clothing, without having to pay a huge amount of money.

"Its important for the community just to have affordable clothing. For people, there are a lot of people that can't afford clothing, and can't afford warm clothing. We have a lot of clothes donated that are in good conditions so that we're able to keep the prices down down." said manager of KSC Thrifts Sharon Heidemann.

This type of thrift shopping is great for people who are unable to afford clothes from department stores, that still want quality name brand items that will last. Shopping here is also a great way to give back to the community, as this store is completely non profit and run only by volunteers. All sales from clothing and shoes purchased here goes direcly into the KSC Food Shelf and and services next door.

They are currently looking for more volunteers too and anyone interested should call Sharon at 802-748-2924 or email her at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
