LYNDON- Many family members and children that went to St. Johnsbury Easter egg hunt went to Band Stand Park for another egg hunt in Lyndon, too. At 1 p.m. Saturday, parents watched their children gather as many easter eggs as they could find under the gloomy skies.
"Sometimes it snows, sometimes it rains, sometimes it's beautiful," Coordinator Brian Bona said. "Today it was average, but we had a good turnout, it was fun."
There were three age goups: 1-3, 4-6, and 7-10. There were nine prizes that were handed out to the three age groups, too.
One the participants had a great time being part of the hunt.
"See - candy!" the young boy said.
It took the participant five minutes to gather all the candy he got. He told us he got "two to three pounds of candy."
Even though the weather was cold and looked like rain was going to fall from the skies, it held off and parents and children say they had a great time.
