LYNDONVILLE- Lyndonville Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire this morning around 9AM. A barn located on Vail Drive burned for over an hour before crews were finally able to put the flames out.
According to the Lyndonville Fire Department, the side panels of the house on the land owners property started to melt and needed to be sprayed before any serious damage could occur.
The adjacent barn with the livestock in it was clear of fire damage.
The owners of the barn were not home at the time of the incident. No person or animal was harmed during the blaze.
The barn is a total loss and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
