Danville Boy's Soccer

danville soccerDANVILLE - The Danville boys’ soccer team lost their game against Bellows Free Academy Fairfax when they went head to head last night.

Danville tried to get a goal in the beginning but Fairfax took the lead. Fairfax ended the first half with a two point lead. Danville tried to make a comeback in the second half with a strong offense. However, they struggled to keep possession of the ball.

With a tough defense, Fairfax managed to keep Danville from scoring during the game. At the end of the second half Danville lost the game to Fairfax with a score of zero to four.

There are a lot of younger players this season and only two of the three senior players are able to play this season because of an injury to Senior Captain Jake Boudrea.

This lose has not stopped Senior Captain and Center Defender, Grady Peterson from being optimistic for future games this season. “We’ve done ok so far. We have come a long way and I think we still have a long way to go…We kind of had a sad loss tonight. We have got a lot of stuff to work on but we’re going to keep moving and keep progressing hopefully.”

The next game for Danville boys’ soccer will be on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 4:30pm at their home field.
