Farmers Market Winding Down

danville marketDANVILLE - Farmers markets across the North East Kingdom are beginning to wind down.

With only a few weeks left, residents are looking to get their last organic fix in.  If you are bummed that in a month you won't be able to get your favorite fresh kelp or summer squash, no need to frown.

Raymond Vincent of Many Colors of Green Farm says that even though the markets are going to be ending soon, you will still be able to find your fresh foods.  "There are winter markets available," said Vincent.  "You're just going to have to look harder for them."

Vincent also said that even without winter markets, farmers are always willing to sell you some of their crop.  "You can still contact your local farmers at that point, and they will be more than willing to give you contact information so you can get it outside of the market too."  The Danville farmers market will be open for another week, and the St. Johnsbury farmers market is open for another month.
